Well my surgery went off without a hitch yesterday. I arrived a little early, got into the pre-surgical area shortly after arriving and 2 hours later I was waking up in the recovery room. I can’t tell you much of what happened in between as I was out cold!

Recovery was actually a little easier to come out of this time. The nurses were nice and upon entering the 2nd stage my mother was allowed to come back to see me,,,,,but lo and behold who else came with her???? 1 Guess!!!! Yes, I opened my eyes to find Kristie along with my mother. She was just standing there with her shit eating grin on her face. As to say “HAHA, told you I was coming!”

I was let out after a walk around and going to the bathroom. Made it home safe and went to bed EARLY!!!! And when I say early I mean early, I was sacked out by no later than 830. Of course, that meant I was getting up early. 330 to be exact, and I was hungry as I had nothing to eat the day before. So a banana and one of my pain pills and right back to bed.

This morning I got up with Kristie and the girls, made them eggs, and saw them off to their days. Kristie wasn’t all that happy with my walking around, but I feel great!!!! my back doesn’t hurt, the feelings in my foot is coming back. I actually feel like I could go to work. Hell, I worked in more pain prior to the surgery.

So thanks to my Doctor, Doctor Hope (real name). I am on my way to feeling great again. Thanks to all your prayers and thoughts also. I know without them I would have felt alone in the Operating room.
