I am back in the saddle again. I have joined the Shenandoah Sound Drum and Bugle Corps located in Sterling Virginia just a few miles from our hometown of Manassas. The corps is the smallest Senior corps in DCAThe members come from all walks of life and experience. We have members who were in the Caballeros, some in the Army Band, and old farts like me. I started playing a Soprano horn. The bugle has no slide and two valves. I was able to adapt to it quickly. Here is our website if you want to follow your exploits. I am really looking forward to doing this again. Maybe I can lose some pounds in the process. Marching on the field can be very strenous. Here is the website address if you want to follow our exploits. Love Y’all. See you on the field. http://www.shenandoahsound.org/shensound/index.htm

WoW, would you believe it took me more then a week to post anything about the wedding!!!

Well as many of you well know, Angel and I were married on Oct 22nd! Please help me in welcoming Angel and her kids to our family! I know I am extremely happy in having them a part of my life (and ricky’s).

I am posting pictures of the wedding so go take a look! It turned out to be the most beautiful October day. The ceremony was on the beach in the afternoon. It was a bit windy, but the weather cooperated.

I want to thank everyone who came down to help us celebrate, and especially Angel’s sister Karen for doing so much for us while she was here. Karen, Emma, and Angel prepared wonderful food for Sat evening for the whole family.

Love to all

Rich

I have cut and pasted Arlene’s 1/30/05 entry on a seperate string so all of us can seriously start planning for it. Like Arlene says we have to get going on this or we will miss out on making reservations. Maggie and I would like to propose the last week of July as a date. Let’s start making real plans! We do not know yet how many people from Virginia will be coming so Maggie and I will start shaking the bushes to get some commitments. Here is the information that Arlene passed on along with the Evergreen Web page:

http://www.evergreenevtoa.com/index.html

Amy was admitted to the Prince William County Hospital at 08:30 pm this evening with a blood clot in her leg. She has had these before. She is in room 3217 and can be reached at 703-369-8000 ext. 3217. She has an elderly roommate so keep your calls to reasonable times. The lady may get a little confused with your call. Maggie is with her now (09:00pm). If I had to guess she will be in the hospital for about 3 or 4 days. I will keep y’all informed. Love Dick!
